Women’s Gathering

Attendance was 167 ladies with 29 churches represented
A year and a half ago the Estrella Baptist Association contacted the Women’s Ministry at Buckeye and asked if they would host this event. They agreed and the planning began. The theme being western and the guest speaker being Mary Kaye Wonner who led the ladies present with an inspiring message and beautiful music in song, with emphasis on Psalms 46:10, Be Still and Know That I Am God.
A brunch was prepared for those present and each received a gift bag which included a copy of the book, “Jesus Over Every Thing”, written by Lisa Whittle. Words of encouragement telling us life doesn’t have to be so complicated. We all want to live simpler lives and to put Jesus first, but we struggle with both.
The host church worked in partnership with Estrella Baptist Association and Arizona Southern Baptist Convention. Ladies were asked to come expecting a blessing and it was evident that they did. Thank you to all who prayed our God would be glorified at this awesome event.
